Art in Architecture with Gordon Huether
Join CSI East Bay on November 21st for an evening with Gordon Huether, of Gordon Huether Studio!
Artist Gordon Huether specializes in large-scale, site-specific art installations integrated into architectural and landscape settings. Throughout his 30-year career he has completed more than 75 public art commissions and 180 private commissions throughout the United States and abroad. He has integrated artwork into a wide and varied array of architectural sites, including corporate and mixed-use developments, civic and residential settings, among many others. Gordon works with an extensive variety of materials, including glass, metal, light, synthetic and repurposed materials, in all manners of applications, including fully integrated, functional work and suspended work. The artwork is not about Huether as an artist, but about the space and the people using it, creating a visual dialogue between the art and the architecture of each site.
