Our meeting on September 19th at Scott’s Seafood, Jack London Square, was a joint meeting with our friends from the Oakland Heritage Alliance. We welcomed Richard Schwartz, author and historian, to talk about his experiences writing several books on the history of the Bay Area, Berkeley and the San Francisco earthquake.

Our chapter had several members attend Construct in Providence, Rhode Island. CONSTRUCT 2017 has education sessions, a product show with more education events, and many opportunities for networking, having fun and meeting other CSI members from across the country. We look forward to meeting in Long Beach next October for CONSTRUCT 2018.
Take a look at our top 10 highlights from each of the three days at CONSTRUCT:

Our October tour was at the Belmont Village senior living facility in Albany. Christophe Laverne, AIA, LEED AP, of HKIT Architects gave us insight into the design for this LEED Gold facility and the unique artwork incorporated into the facility. You can find out more info about Belmont Village at this link.
