CSI EBO Presidents Message June 2017
This post written by CSI East Bay-Oakland Chapter President Dan Galvez.
June Meeting -Recap:
At our meeting on June 20th, we welcomed several past chapter presidents to help celebrate our 50th anniversary. We had a fun time catching up with friends and telling stories of past chapter events. We were reminded of all the hard work contributed over the years in order to provide CSI members with the education, networking and professional development opportunities. We will continue our celebrations through the remainder of the year and at our Holiday party in December.

May Meeting-Recap:
We toured the shop of Chris French Metal. Chris French and his team have collaborated on many interesting and artistic projects with architects and contractors in the Bay Area. Chris’s presentation demonstrated the attention to design, detailing and planning for the fine metalwork they produce. We walked through the shop and became familiar with the tools and processes used and reviewed works in progress.

May Northwest-West Region Conference – Seattle
Several EBO board members attended the conference in Seattle, the latest in a series of annual events with the CSI Northwest Region. Seattle is a fine city, we were fortunate to experience their first spell of clear weather, a heat wave, with temperatures in the low 80’s. There were great education programs, plenty of opportunities for networking, a trade-show, CSI leadership training.
