I met up with some friends for lunch at the Triple Rock in Berkeley. We all worked together (back in the day), have kept in touch over the years, and try to get together every once and awhile.
The Triple Rock has been one of our favorite meeting places. They have just completed an expansion into an adjacent building, with their new dining area and bar on the ground floor and offices for Tipping Structural Engineers above. The neat thing about the new dining area is the exposed base isolation system for the office building structure above.
A unique building, along with the existing building next door. Check out a couple articles by John King and a few photos I have taken. If you are in the area, stop by for lunch or a drink and see for yourself.
